Day 1: Welcome to Denmark

Day 5: Oslo Walking Tour

The tour begins at the Nobel Peace Center, where you’ll have a pristine view of the Oslo Fjord and the Akershus Fortress looming in the distance. Your guide will reveal some of the greatest Norwegian playwrights at The National Theatre, then guide you to the Oslo City Hall, the Royal Palace, and the main pedestrian shopping street, Karl Johans gate. Hop on a tram to head to the Frogner neighborhood and Vigeland Sculpture Park, the largest sculpture park in the world. Day 6: Train to Bergen

It’s time to explore Norway’s spectacular mountainous coast. After breakfast, board a train to take one of the world’s most scenic train journeys to Bergen. Pass by lush forests, snow-capped mountains, and picturesque fjords.

Located at the foot of Norway’s deepest fjord, Bergen is known for its incredible scenery and colorful wooden houses lining its charming wharf. Day 8: Cruise the Fjords to Aurland

Cruising the majestic Geirangerfjord in the gorge inlet between steep snowcapped mountains lined with lush green trees, foliage and powerful waterfalls and flowing water from melted snow on a mostly blue sky with partial clouds

It’s time to head deeper into Norway’s mountains and iconic fjords. After breakfast and checking out from your hotel, you’ll board a high-speed ferry taking you from the vibrant coastal city of Bergen deep into the heart of the Sognefjord, the longest and deepest fjord in Norway. As you cruise through serene waters, you’ll pass dramatic landscapes of towering mountains, cascading waterfalls, and picturesque villages.

You’ll disembark in Aurland, a charming village nestled between steep cliffs and the fjord’s edge, and your home for the next three nights. After checking into your boutique hotel, you’ll head to nearby Flam, where you can have the opportunity to ride on one of the most architecturally significant trains in Europe. This feat of engineering has a gradient of 5.5% and there are a whole 20 tunnels – one of them even takes a 180-degree turn. At the top, take in the view before taking the train down – or opt to zip or bike down the mountain instead.

Day 9: Picturesque Laerdal, Picnics, and Norwegian Saunas

The day begins with a visit to the famous Stegastein viewpoint, then continues up over the mountain to the beautiful old town of Laerdal. Somewhere along this stretch, you will stop to enjoy a gourmet picnic lunch. In Laerdal, you’ll feel as if you’ve stepped into a postcard, surrounded by traditional wooden homes and waterfalls cascading from the mountains. Your guide will provide insight into this historical town before continuing to the Borgund Stave Church, a significant element of Norwegian culture and architecture. From the church, it’s possible to reach the old king’s road by hiking a small part of an easy trail.

Back at the hotel in Aurland, you’ll have the afternoon to enjoy private, exclusive use of the hotel’s wood fire hot tub and sauna. In the evening, dinner is once again enjoyed at the hotel.

Day 10: Nærøyfjorden Cruise and Fjord Sauna

Back in the nearby village of Flam, spend your last afternoon in Norway with exclusive access to Flam’s floating sauna. Alternate between the steaming sauna and refreshing swims in the placid fjord, an invigorating combination recommended by locals to leave you feeling rejuvenated and refreshed.
