Today’s the day to get up close and personal with Norway’s legendary fjords. From Aurland, you’ll board a ferry and sail to the Aurlandsfjord, past the Undredal village. At the beginning of the Nærøyfjord, you’ll disembark at Styvi and go on a stunning hike on the old postal route towards “Bakka.” Here, you’ll stop to have lunch against a backdrop of stunning scenery. In Bakka, you’ll be picked up in a private boat and shuttled across the fjord towards Aurland.

Today is a full day to explore the iconic city of Bergen. Your day begins with a 3-hour privately guided tour of the city, including highlights such as UNESCO Bryggen, Rosenkrantz tower, Haakonshallen, Bergenhus fortress, Bergen fish market, Johannes and St. Mary’s churches, and ending with a funicular ride to the top of Mount Floien. With your guide, walk further along the paths from Floien and into the mountains behind, where you can enjoy panoramic views and refreshments from a café before taking the funicular back to the city.

In the afternoon, choose to visit Bergen’s shopping streets, wander along its waterfront, or simply unwind at the hotel before having dinner at Cornelius Restaurant, one of Bergen’s top-rated restaurants. Enjoy a 5-course menu featuring some of Norway’s best seafood dishes.

After breakfast, head to the airport to catch a quick flight north to Alesund. Learn about Alesund’s history, including its rebuild after a fire in 1904, as you take in its art nouveau architecture, culture, beautiful shops, and local art. Walk through charming Kongensgate, Løvenvoldgata and Moloveien before you take the 418 steps from the town park up to the stunning viewpoint Fjellstua.
