The Pacuare Lodge is an exemplary ecolodge overlooking the Pacuare River. Composed of comfortable bungalows and elegant suites, the lodge combines luxurious details with rustic simplicity. There is no electricity in the guest rooms, although they do have hot water. The Pacuare Lodge is designed for fun and relaxation, with beautifully appointed beds and spacious bathrooms, private terraces with hammocks, an excellent restaurant, cozy common areas, and an on-site spa.
Guests typically arrive to the lodge by rafting the Pacuare River, rated one of the world’s top rafting runs, though it is also possible to arrive via 4×4. In addition to outstanding rafting, the area offers horseback riding, bird watching, canyoning, rainforest canopy tours, and a trek to a Cabecar Indian community.
