Hotel Desertica

Located in a former farmhouse on an orchard within walking distance from the center of San Pedro de Atacama, Hotel Desertica provides a simpler option than the all-inclusive properties in the region. Desertica focuses on a sustainable design, from solar panels to generate their own electricity to the raised walkways that prevent erosion to the soil.

In homage to the indigenous Atacameño (people of the Atacama), the rooms, or ‘Turi’, are modelled on native designs. The 12 bungalow-like structures are made of adobe walls with thatched roofs and designed with modern touches inside.
